IntelliSport Analytics will partner with Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) to provide important research into the volunteer experience – examining why people volunteer, why they continue to volunteer, and how they learned about the opportunities to support the organization and athletes. Understanding the volunteer experience will support SOPA’s mission to provide exceptional experiences for athletes.
SOPA provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
